LaFleur started as a love letter to the desert and to design. It’s grown into something we never imagined, and we’re so grateful to create experiences that celebrate people, places, and the moments that bring them together.
Alexandra “Alex” Peck
Botanical Genius, Punk Rocker, Planning & Logistics Queen
Arizona transplant by way of the lacrosse field, Alex brings the perfect balance of grit, creativity, and science to LaFleur Events. Before orchestrating flawless weddings and events, she was extracting plant DNA in a genetics lab and helping unravel botanical mysteries across the country (yes, she wore a lab coat and everything).
A botany major with a love for structure and flow, she now channels that same energy into crafting seamless guest experiences and swoon-worthy event timelines. But don’t let the science fool you—Alex grew up wanting to be a chef and has binge-watched nearly every Food Network show in existence (ask her anything about Chopped). Her playlist? A steady mix of '90s grunge and punk rock.
She’s also a former lacrosse player who went all the way to state and scored a college scholarship doing it—so yeah, she knows how to handle pressure. Off the clock, you'll find her dominating pickleball courts, learning to golf, traveling, or volunteering with El Rio Vecinos, where she's cultivating a growing interest for community engagement and philanthropy. Intuitive and detail oriented, Alex is equally creative as she is calculated. Event planning is her super power and design is her passion.
Colleen LaFleur
Master Florist, OG Deadhead & Creative Force of Nature
A Chicago native turned desert dweller, Colleen brings both big-city edge and a deep love of nature to every event she designs. With more than three decades of floral design and event planning experience—she earned her Master Florist credentials under the legendary Al Mendoza.
Her work is inspired by the things she loves most—contemporary art, modern architecture, and the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert. She’s the kind of designer who notices the curve of a cactus or the way light filters through a palo verde tree, and finds a way to weave that sense of place into her designs.
Outside of the studio, you’ll usually find Colleen hiking, camping, or paddle boarding, always wearing her signature wide-brimmed garden hat (she’s serious about sun protection). A longtime music lover, she and her husband spent much of their 20’s chasing the Grateful Dead.
Colleen also collects limited-edition art skateboards, loves a good mystery novel and rarely says no to fish tacos. At the LaFleur studio, she’s often joined by Ivy, her Italian Greyhound the official shop dog. Thoughtful and grounded with a creative spirit, Colleen designs florals that feel as real and alive as the landscapes she loves.
“We believe great design should feel like home, sound like your favorite song, and reflect the beauty of where you are.”
